Het gigantische Feestbeest komt eraan! Maar
wees niet bang: dit beest heeft alleen maar zin in
carnaval. Het lust geen mensen, alleen slingers,
vlaggen en vrolijkheid. En natuurlijk frietjes met
polonaise!
Dans, lach, spring en juich het beest toe. Want
alleen met jullie energie wordt het sterk genoeg om
te ontsnappen aan zijn ketenen. Help jij mee het
feestbeest los te laten? Dan is het feest pas écht
begonnen!
The Party Beast unleashed
A colossal, living entity of colorful chaos unleashes. Sporting bright patches, glowing eyes and
a smile almost as wide as the streets it swings in. It moves playfully. It dances wildly. But above
all, it breathes Carnival. For centuries, clergies have tried to tame this unhinged beast. After
the Reformation in the 16th century, the colorless Protestant believers saw more importance
in fasting and opposed the debauched nature of Catholic Carnival. They attempted to restrain
Carnival by, among other things, banning the polonaise. But no matter how hard they preach, no
matter how hard they try to chain it, Carnival refuses to let itself be tamed. The beast unchains
its feet and laughs as it dances into the night. The feast always wins. With soaring colors.
